Slicemail

Terms of service

Last updated: [DATE]

These terms cover your use of Slicemail, a Google Sheets add-on published by [LEGAL NAME], [COUNTRY]. By installing or using it you agree to them.

What the add-on does

It reads tables from the spreadsheet where you installed it and sends emails from your Google account, following the reports you write in a Google Doc. How it handles data is in the privacy policy.

Your responsibility for what you send

The emails go out under your name to people you choose from your own data. You decide who receives them. The add-on previews each email and asks you to confirm before sending, and it refuses a send when the data changed after the preview. It cannot know whether a recipient should see a number. You are responsible for the content, for your right to send it to those recipients, and for following the laws and policies that apply to your mail, including data protection and your organisation's own rules.

Do not use the add-on to send unsolicited bulk mail, to deceive, or to send content you do not have the right to send.

Limits that come from Google

Sending is subject to your Google account's mail quotas and to Google's terms. The add-on shows how much of your daily quota is left and stops a send that would exceed it. A large send can stop before it finishes, to stay inside Apps Script's six-minute limit or when one email fails; it records how many went out, and sending the same preview again continues from there.

Availability and support

The add-on is provided as it is. It can change, and features can be added or removed. Support is by email at slicemail@enayatullah.com, answered on a best-effort basis.

No warranty, and limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, the add-on is provided without warranties of any kind, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, [LEGAL NAME] is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or business, arising from your use of it, and total liability is limited to what you paid for the add-on in the twelve months before the claim, or [AMOUNT] if it was free. Some places do not allow these limits; where they do not, they apply as far as the law permits.

Ending

You can stop at any time by removing the add-on and revoking its access. [LEGAL NAME] may suspend or end access if the add-on is misused or if these terms are broken.

Changes

If these terms change, the date above changes. Continuing to use the add-on after a change means you accept it.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of [COUNTRY / STATE]. [Add a venue clause if your adviser recommends one.]
